2017 Tesla Model S 100D – 36,250 miles – newly installed 2021 MCU – Great Range

This Model S has been well taken care of and is in excellent condition! Still under warranty and fully upgraded to the new MCU2 so you can get all the latest media features (FAST Internet browsing, Netflix, YouTube, Games, etc). It is blazing fast with very high resolution. The instrument-cluster was also upgraded to the newest hi-def version during the MCU2 installation. This is a $3000 upgrade including a new premium Radio Module, which gives the car full FM/SIRIUS-XM functionality. Radio and Sirius XM is only available on a 2020+ Model S as a $500 option. The car also has HyperOptik window tinting and a custom fit windshield sun screen. This is a non-smoking vehicle, always garaged. We live in Phoenix so it has never seen snow, and seldom, if ever, rain!

Unlike any Tesla manufactured before October 20, 2017, this car has MCU2, EAP 2.5 and Continental radar. In terms of FSD capability, it is indistinguishable from a 2021 Model S and will accept ALL FSD upgrades planned for the future. Even if you do not want FSD, this is key to the value of the car as it will add value to resale as opposed to one that does not have the capability.

Range: EPA Rated Range is 320 miles. Tesla Ideal Range is 400 miles – that is the distance Tesla claims you will get if you drive at 55-65 miles an hour in ideal conditions. I drove this car to Dallas from Phoenix Last Summer and easily got 350 miles between superchargers.

Tesla switched over to EAP 2.5 from 2.0 in October 2017 so all cars manufactured earlier still have 2.0 and Bosch radar. The switch to 2.5 also included a vastly upgraded Continental radar with far superior performance. Both are critical to current FSD as well as the coming Full Autonomous Driving. Also, 2017 cars will have the original MCU. This is a notoriously unreliable key component and while Tesla has been forced to replace them under the government mandated recall, they are replacing them with new MCU1s, not the MCU2.

The cream interior is gorgeous and the cream carpet floors are as new as they have been protected since new by all weather mats (pictured), both Tesla and Weather-Tech branded. I also have the optional cream carpet floor mats which have never been used. This car has always been carefully hand-washed by me and paint still looks amazing. The battery has been well taken care of, almost never charging past 90%, and kept near 50-60% when not in use for trips.

Enhanced Autopilot Features:
Enables the car to steer, accelerate and brake automatically for other vehicles and pedestrians within its lane.
Driving from highway automatically exit to off-ramp.
Auto Lane Change: automatic lane changes while driving on the highway.
Auto-park: both parallel and perpendicular spaces.
Summon: your parked car will come find you anywhere in a parking lot. Really.

New Michelin Primacy MXM4 tires at 29,200 miles. One of those replaced [sidewall nail] at 34,500. All four tires have TRANSFERABLE Discount Tire Road hazard free replacement insurance. All tires have 8/32 tread remaining. Email for tire pictures. The car has been serviced as per the Tesla recommended service schedule; the next is not due until February, 2022.

One of the car’s best features is GPS Homelink which automatically opens and closes up to three garage doors/HOA gates with no driver action required. It’s magic! The other cool feature is Summons, which brings the car to you from a tight garage or parking space or from a parking lot to you. Really!

$2000 deposit by Venmo or Zelle within 24 hours of accepted offer to hold the car. Final payment by Certified Cashier’s check-both or bank wire. Buyer bears any payment fees. If buyer cancels sale without inspecting the car the deposit will not be refunded.
