BRANDED TITLE : BUY BACK / LEMON – CARFAX AVAILABLE ( Falcon door wing repair)
For sale is our beloved 2016 Tesla Model X P90DL Signature Edition. This is a very unique car for multiple reasons. It has an extremely low VIN number at 00346. It also has a lemon branded title. Original MSRP near $150k. The original owner lemon lawed the car in California for a phantom object detection near the Falcon wing door in his garage. We have never had an issue with the doors, and this issue preceded the “always open fully at this location” software function. Many of the Signature cars were actually manufacturer buybacks for similar reasons, and they were resold to Tesla employees. We purchased this car from a Tesla employee family member in May of 2019 with 42k on the clock. It is just coming up on 70k miles. In addition to being a signature edition car, it also is a six-seater configuration with the monopost second row seats. It has free supercharging for life and autopilot 1.0. Despite the free supercharging, the car has been charged with level 2 charging at home 99% of the time.
The other reason this car is unique is because it is still under full manufacturer warranty coverage. Just prior to selling to us, the prior owner spent over $5k on the extended service agreement, which includes bumper to bumper coverage until 100k miles or May of 2023 and is fully transferable with the car. Any issue whatsoever is covered with a 250 dollar deductible. Tesla no longer even offers this warranty program. This car has been lovingly cared for by me and the Spokane service center team. It has many upgrades as listed below:
-Full infotainment upgrade ($1500) completed June 2021 – massive improvement in user interface, speed of boot up, and general bugginess. The car functions like a new Model S or X now.
-Full pads, rotor, brake flush completed May 2021. I switched out to Akebono ceramic pads which has been a huge improvement in the rusty pad sound after rain or moisture exposure.
-Full hood, bumper, headlights, partial quarter panels 3M pro PPF coverage
-20 inch T-sportline wheels with less than 15k miles on tires
-Also have a full set of 20 inch black powdercoated Tesla wheels with studded Nokian Hakkapeliita SUV tires.
-Upgraded lithium Ohmmu 12V battery
-Addition of factory removable rear hitch
-Full “modern spare kit” included.
-The Spokane and Boise service team have completed a ton of common repairs on the car including: upgraded front drive unit mount with replacement of CV axles, onboard charger replaced fall 2020, eMMC recall completed, spine trim recall inspection completed, replacement of both common coolant leak junctions, front air strut replacement, falcon wing door roof glass completely replaced due failing rubber seals/trim, and innumerable other small issues that the Spokane team has fixed for us.
The car is in great condition with exterior paintwork and interior looking great. I am a former professional detailer and have done my utmost to keep it clean and protected through Montana winters. Always garage kept. It is scheduled for a 600 dollar interior/exterior detail on July 16. The interior has some minor scratches or marks here and there on the piano gloss finish seats and in the trunk, but dash, doors, seats are in fantastic condition. I have included some basic photos for now, but will take a ton more photos after the detail on July 16. The battery cell voltages have been inspected by the Spokane service team, and they tell me the pack is in excellent condition. When fully charged, it displays between 226 and 232 for mileage, so about 10% degradation at six years of life. I have not seen any additional degradation in the 2 years we have owned the car.
The only reason we are selling this car with two years remaining on the extended service agreement is that the six seater configuration just doesn’t work well for us. We are cyclists, and it is pain to remove both wheels to put a bike in the back. This vehicle still has a bank lien on it. Any payment would be to the bank who would then produce a lien release and send remainder of funds to me.
