Model 3 has become the best-selling car in the country.
Model 3 outsells every other car in its class by a significant margin. In fact, it sells more per unit (and to a greater degree revenue) than the Mercedes C-Class, BMW 3 Series, and Audi A4 combined.
It is clear that there is no issue with demand, with sales that exceed Tesla’s production. A record quarter is anticipated, with 90% of orders coming from new customers who aren’t reservation holders.
63% of trade-ins come from non-premium cars, which means that Tesla’s appeal is extending to a broad market that normally wouldn’t normally consider a luxury vehicle. This is exacerbated by Tesla’s significantly lower operating costs, including the lack of gas costs and minimal maintenance required. Musk equated the cost of buying Model 3 to being potentially less than a Camry or Accord over time.
Model 3 is not only the highest revenue vehicle in the market, but also provides the best performance of any car available today in its segment.
All of Tesla’s vehicles are the most energy-efficient cars in the world with range that hasn’t been beaten by competitors. Soon, Tesla will have a car with a 400-mile range. This ensures Tesla will remain ahead of the competition for the foreseeable future and beyond.
