Tesla has once again adjusted pricing of the most popular Model 3 configurations.
Model 3 starts at $37,990 for its base Standard Range Plus configuration. It’s been recently-refreshed with a number of improvements, but remains otherwise unchanged.
This comes after Tesla dropped the starting price nearly two months ago from $37,990 to $36,990. Tesla then raised the price to $37,490, before ultimately ending up back where it was.
Additionally, the price of Model 3 Long Range All-Wheel Drive has been increased $500 from $46,490 to $46,990. Model 3 Performance remains at $55,990, after it had its price increased from $54,990 in February.
All configurations are available for delivery in an estimated “1-13 weeks.”
As we’ve noted recently, since Tesla doesn’t offer its own incentives or discounts they simply adjust upfront pricing based on market demand. We assume this is a sign that Tesla can’t keep up with current demand, as even the delivery window provides an obscure estimate.
Still, we can’t help but wish for more consistent pricing since at any given time it’s difficult to predict what the next day will bring for a prospective buyer waiting to pre order.
This doesn’t make a major difference, but it does also mean that used values can tend to fluctuate $500-$1,000 — this is also highly dependent on local market demand.
